Louise and I appreciate that learning to drive is expensive, so we have kept our basic lesson prices the same for the past four years despite the rises in fuel costs. We are not the most expensive, nor are we the cheapest but we GUARANTEE you EXCELLENT SERVICE - NO TIME WASTING - FAST RESULTS.
Although much of our work comes from recommendation, there are times we may give special offers and discounts to help fill our books. As with any business we have our quiet periods - so we lose less money as a business if we discount your driving course rather than lose you as a pupil or increase our advertising revenue! On you first lesson you'll be able to check us out, and we'll assess the standard of your driving. We'll discuss and recommend a course of lessons with you that gets you ready for the driving test in a time frame that suites you. You can then choose how frequently you wish to do your lessons and whether to pay as you go, pay week by week, or pay in ten, twenty or thirty hour blocks. The bigger the block you pay for the cheaper the lessons will be. Check out the Driving lessons Prices and see how much you could save. Once you've paid for a block your lessons can be taken intensively / semi intensively, weekly or twice weekly depending on your timetable and our availability. It's laways best to book in advance if you want more than a couple of lessons per week. with us you can choose whether you wish to take driving lessons. Our driving lessons in Bournemouth are designed to allow flexibility and each driving lesson may be 1, 2 or 3 hours long. Learner drivers also come to The Driving School for intensive driving courses in Bournemouth (see below) where 20 to 40 hours of intensive driver training may be given over 1 to 3 weeks. We are aware that fitting in driving lessons can be a bit of a challenge, therefore we do our very best to fit in with your timetable.
Whether you opt for single or double driving lessons, or perhaps the intensive driving courses in Bournemouth, we are flexible with times and can easily alternate driving lessons pick up and drop off points to make life easier for you.
Many people wonder how many driving lessons it will take them to reach the standard required to pass the driving test. The truth is that it depends on the individual, how co-ordinated they are, how quickly they can learn to drive and whether they have driven before. On average, it takes approximately 40 hours of practical driver training. It is also necessary for new drivers to study, and understand the knowledge and principals of driving theory. This should be undertaken during practical driving lessons in bournemouth and Poole in order that a firm understanding is achieved. This is also reinforced by self study. Our Intensive driving courses are designed to fit in best with your timetable and each of the intensive driving courses is different.
Intensive driving courses in Bournemouth may entail anything from 20 to 40 hours of driver training over 5 to 7 days. Many people view intensive driving courses as 6 to 10 driving lessons spread over 1 week or over a weekend, or perhaps 30 or so driving lessons over 3 weeks. It totally depends on your requirements and timetable.

Motorway driving lessons are vital to help boost confidence on fast roads. The motorway lesson is usually from 3 to 4 hours duration with a 15 minute stop off at the services for a well earned break. Traffic regularly exceed the speed limit and often driving at 80 or 90 MPH, so you need to be able to cope with reading the road and anticipating these vehicles actions.
If you passed the driving test and haven't driven for a few month or perhaps years, then refresher driving courses are often a very good idea, especially if you need to get your confidence back, or just want to improve your driving skills and/or keep up with modern driving techniques. Depending on the person, a refresher driving course may take as little as an hour or two, or maybe a little longer.
Parking Courses with The Driving School are designed for Full Licence Holders who have not been taught how to, or find it difficult to park between two parked cars or between two cars in a bay. The bay park involves parking in shopping centre car parks as well as multistory, and can be done in your own car.
We are fully trained to help you to regain and/or develope your driving skills and confidence. Parking courses are tailored to individuals needs and are conducted in a layed back and understanding manner as most people are self conscious about having parking problems.
